What started as a single but gnarly accident Saturday morning on Interstate 30 led to a chain reaction of car wrecks that left traffic on the highway stalled for 3.5 hours.
What were likely straight-line winds swept through the Arkadelphia area early Sunday morning, pushing trees over roadways and onto at least one home.
City and county officials plan to use ClarkArk Alerts to deliver emergency and non-emergency notifications to county residents and employees.

The DeGray Fire Department was first summoned to the area at 1:10 p.m. Monday, followed by the Arkadelphia, Gum Springs, Hollywood, Amity and Alpine fire departments and the Arkansas Forestry Commission.
