Florence Nageotte, 70, of Amity, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 26, 2026.
She was born in Dickson, Illinois on October 15, 1956. She was the daughter of Albert Nageotte and Esther Wilson Nageotte. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Florence was a gentle and kindhearted woman whose warm smile could brighten even the simplest of moments. She had a quiet, loving spirit and a way of finding happiness in the little things life had to offer. Rarely without a smile, Florence brought warmth to those around her simply by being herself. She had a deep love for the outdoors and found peace and happiness surrounded by nature. Her passion for the outdoors was such an important part of her life that she was fortunate enough to spend her later working days doing something she truly loved, working for the parks system, where her love of nature and the outdoors made her work especially meaningful.
Florence also had a special love for animals, especially her chickens and dogs. Her little dog was her faithful companion, going just about everywhere she could take it. Whether she was caring for her chickens, spending time outside, or enjoying the company of her beloved pets, she found joy in life’s everyday blessings. Above all else, Florence loved her family. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren dearly. Her gentle spirit, kind heart, and beautiful smile were gifts she shared with those she loved, leaving behind memories that will be treasured for generations.
She is survived by her son, Michael Eugene Jackson Jr., of Hot Springs; her two daughters and son-in-law, Dee Dee and Jimmy Johnston, of Kingwood, Texas and Malissa McNanna, of Hot Springs; her six grandchildren, Emily Ward, Hunter Woodall, Trace Jackson, Rylee Jackson, Chloe Slaughter, Phoenix Andry, her 10 great-grandchildren; her four brothers and sisters-in-law, Don and Beverly Nageotte, Lonny and Jo Nelle Nageotte, Roger and Roberta Nageotte, and Ronnie Nageotte, her two sisters Betty Nageotte and Deborah Nageotte; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends
Florence will be remembered not for grand gestures, but for the simple, beautiful way she lived her life, with kindness in her heart, a smile on her face, and love for the people and animals around her. Though she will be deeply missed, her family will forever find pieces of her in the beauty of nature, the companionship of a beloved pet, and the quiet moments that remind them of her.
Pallbearers will be Layne Ward, Hunter Woodall, Chris Rohrback, Thomas Andry, Trace Jackson, and Greg Davis.
