Judy Butler

Judy Ann (Boyd) Butler, age 75, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at her home.  She was born July 23, 1951, in Walnut Ridge, the daughter of the late Willard and Essie Marie Wells Whitlow.  

Judy was a 1969 graduate of Strawberry High School.  She attended Certified Nurses training and went on to work for Home Health and Baptist Medical Center.  Judy was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church.  She enjoyed singing church hymns and doing genealogy in her free time.  

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, James E. Boyd and one sister, Mayrene Oberts.

Survivors are her husband, Jim Butler of Arkadelphia, one daughter, Velma Neal (Daniel) of Amity, one son, Mark Anthony Boyd of Gravel Ridge, bonus children, Brad Butler of Arkadelphia and Kim Butler of Kensett, one sister, Pauline Walker (Tommy) of Black Rock, three brothers, Larry Whitlow (Donna) of Forrest City, Randy Whitlow (Karen) of Newark and Stan Whitlow (Marlene) of Cherokee Village.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Old Lebanon Cemetery at Eaton, AR with Brian Whitlow officiating.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Welch Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Faith Missionary Baptist Church.

Pallbearers are Steven Boyd, Dale Boyd, Nathan Whitlow, Michael Walker, Thomas Free, Johnathan Boyd and Jeremy Hill.

Honorary pallbearers are Baptist Health Hospice
