The following incidents were gathered from reports filed Aug. 31 through Sept. 7, 2026, at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Arrested or cited individuals are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names, so don’t even think about asking.

Monday, Aug. 31
3:20 p.m.
A woman reported being struck by a bicyclist while traversing the parking lot outside Andy’s, 2927 Pine St. The pedestrian suffered an injury to a knee, and was given a ride to the hospital for treatment. She said the collision was accidental, as neither party could see each other due to vehicle traffic in the lot.

9:30 a.m.
A South 5th Street woman reported that her dog’s veterinarian deduced the canine had ingested rat poison based on a bleeding episode. The complainant told police that she suspects a neighbor was responsible for poisoning the animal based on past interactions with the neighbor.

11:40 p.m.
Police were called to Southview Apartments, 650 S. 5th St., for a complaint of a stolen bicycle, a gold and burgundy Trek 7100. The caller did not want to pursue charges against the named suspect, and only wanted it returned.
Thursday, Sept. 3
2:35 a.m.
Officers were called to Southview Apartments for a report of a female asking for help at the door of a residence. The caller advised police that the female had told her someone slipped something into her drink. Upon arrival police found the female, 24-year-old Tracy Lashall Stone, of Arkadelphia, unconscious in the bathroom. She was taken to the hospital and discharged around 4 a.m. As officers were escorting Stone out of the hospital and offering her a courtesy ride home, Stone displayed erratic behavior indicative of intoxication, and was taken to jail on the charge of public intoxication.
8:54 a.m.
A Magnolia woman reported that her identify was used during a May traffic stop in Arkadelphia. The complainant, whose employer made the discovery during an annual background check, said she was wanted for failing to appear in court for the offense of failing to register a vehicle, while in fact she had never been cited for the charge. A review of body cam footage from the May traffic stop showed the driver — a different person than the complainant now standing before police — provide the victim’s name and date of birth. The complainant was able to identify the real suspect as a Waldo woman of the same age.
Felony incident still under investigation: Theft between $1,000-$5,000, 200 block of North 10th Street
5:19 p.m.
A resident of the 1700 block of Caddo Street reported the theft of an air-conditioning unit valued at approximately $200. She was advised police would conduct extra patrols in the area.
Friday, Sept. 4
12:16 a.m.
Officers were called to Cox Trailer Park, 1319 N. 10th St., for a complaint of a shepherd-type dog running at large that had attacked the caller’s hound outside. Police were unable to identify or locate the aggressor, and notified Animal Control of the situation.
Saturday, Sept. 5
5:18 p.m.
Police were called to Cox Mobile Manor, 3027 Pine St., for a complaint of domestic abuse in which the female victim showed injury to her knee. Officers were directed to a South 22nd Street residence, where the suspect, Michael Allen Waldrip, 36, of Taylor, Michigan, was believed to have gone. Contact was made with Waldrip there, and he was arrested for 3rd-degree domestic battery and an unrelated failure to appear warrant from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office
Sunday, Sept. 6
1:54 a.m.
Police were called to McDonald’s, 3114 Pine St., for a brawl between two females. The aggressor fled the scene prior to police arrival, and the victim, who suffered a small laceration to her temple, was advised of procedures to prosecute. About 24 hours later, the victim reported the aggressor had sent her threatening text messages, but would not show police the thread containing the threats. An officer caught up with the suspect, who did show the text messages. She was advised to ignore and block the other party and to follow through with the prosecutor should she want to pursue harassment charges.
4:04 p.m.
Officers were called to Ouachita Village Apartments, 11 Cypress Ct., for a complaint of a known suspect making threats. The reporting officer arrived to find James F. Wells, 60, yelling and “acting very aggressive” toward another officer. Wells was calmed and instructed to return to his apartment, and police left the scene. One officer returned moments later to find Wells outside yelling and cursing. He was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
