Clark County Health Alliance re-established with hopes to improve well-being of local residents

A renewed commitment to community health is bringing local leaders back to the table as Twin Rivers Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center’s Jason Campbell announces the reestablishment of the Clark County Health Alliance, a collaborative coalition dedicated to improving the health and well-being of residents throughout Clark County.

The Alliance builds upon the legacy of the Becoming a Healthy Clark County Coalition (BaHCC), which for decades united healthcare providers, educators, businesses, nonprofit organizations, faith communities, government agencies, and community leaders around a shared mission of improving the health of Clark County residents. Through collaboration, the coalition identified community needs, coordinated resources, and developed initiatives designed to strengthen the health of the community. Although the coalition became inactive in 2019, its spirit of partnership continues to inspire a renewed vision for countywide collaboration.

Today, Campbell is leading the effort to reestablish the Clark County Health Alliance with a renewed focus on partnership, innovation, and community engagement.

“The health concerns facing our community are complex and cannot be addressed by any one organization alone,” said Campbell. “I encourage our partners to bring forward the concerns they are seeing within their own fields, because each organization has a unique perspective on the challenges facing Clark County. By sharing those experiences and working together, we can better understand the needs of our community, identify gaps, and develop collaborative solutions that improve the health and well-being of our residents.”

The revitalized Alliance will provide a forum for organizations to share resources, coordinate initiatives, identify gaps in services, and develop collaborative strategies to address the county’s most pressing health concerns. Initial areas of focus include improving access to healthcare, supporting preventive wellness, strengthening behavioral health resources, promoting healthy lifestyles, addressing chronic health concerns, and understanding the social factors that impact health outcomes.

The Alliance’s mission is built upon three guiding principles:

• Community – Building stronger connections throughout Clark County.

• Care – Improving the health and well-being of every resident.

• Collaboration – Working together to create sustainable, community-driven solutions.

The Clark County Health Alliance is actively seeking participation from healthcare organizations, schools, local businesses, nonprofit agencies, churches, government entities, civic groups, and community members who share a commitment to improving the health of Clark County. An organizational meeting and additional community initiatives will be announced in the coming weeks.

“Together, we have an opportunity to build something that will positively impact Clark County for generations,” Campbell said. “This Alliance belongs to our community, and everyone has a role to play.”
