Monday, June 29
Felony incident still under investigation: Fraudulent use of a credit or debit card over $1,000, 1700 block of Clinton Street
11:25 a.m.
A resident of Carpenter Hill Apartments, 650 S. 6th St., reported the theft of her vehicle. Given a description of the car, the reporting officer recalled one matching its description parked near Rose Hill Cemetery on Main Street. The vehicle was located there, and the owner was able to take custody of it, noting no damages or property theft. Police learned that the person who took the vehicle had been an overnight house guest. Answering a complaint that the vehicle was still parked on Main Street that afternoon and unable to reestablish contact with the owner, police had the vehicle towed from the location.
9:49 p.m.
A female reported receiving threatening text messages from a known female. The complainant’s residence was placed on extra patrol.
Tuesday, June 30
11:15 a.m.
A resident of Cox Mobile Manor, 3027 Pine St., reported the theft of his Xbox gaming system, naming two possible suspects who could have taken the console while moving out of the residence.
Wednesday, July 1
5:30 a.m.
A Circle K clerk complained of being harassed on separate occasions by a known male and female.
12:05 p.m.
Officers were called to the 1500 block of Gresham Street, where a female was injured during an altercation with a known male. The victim had a laceration to her forehead, as well as a busted lip. Medics responded to the scene to evaluate and treat the woman, who was advised to contact the prosecutor’s office about the incident. The suspect was not located.

Friday, July 3
8:30 a.m.
Police were called to a North 22nd Street residence for a complaint of a neighbor’s aggressive dogs chasing a guest onto a porch. An officer made contact with the owner, Herman Knox, 62. Advised of city ordinances pertaining to both roaming dogs and pit bulls, Knox was cited for allowing dogs to run at large. The Animal Control officer later advised that he was familiar with Knox and the pit bulls in his possession, adding that Knox had previously signed an affidavit agreeing to remove the dogs from the city due to his failure to comply with the city ordinance. The police officer returned to Knox’s residence, and he agreed to remove the dogs from the city. Advised of the consequences of returning the animals to the city, Knox loaded them into his vehicle and departed Arkadelphia, traveling west on Highway 8.
6:26 p.m.
An officer responded to Walmart for a complaint of a shoplifter accused of scanning a barcode of a lesser value than the items he was actually obtaining. The suspect, William Richard Dennis, 54, of either Lonsdale or Arkadelphia, was arrested for theft of property and banned from Walmart locations.

Sunday, July 5
5:53 a.m.
Officers responded to a domestic disturbance involving a male and female at a North Ridge Drive residence. The male party gathered his belongings and left.
Monday, July 6
1:13 p.m.
Police heard a complaint of harassing text messages sent by a Bismarck man and stemming from an assault investigation originating in Hot Spring County. He was advised to follow up with the prosecutor’s office for warrant procedures.
1:37 p.m.
Officers heard a harassment complaint from a South 10th Street woman.
10:17 p.m.
A Hot Springs man reported being harassed by a known male in the Walmart parking lot.
