Larry Winston Cox, age 83, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. He was born March 27, 1943, in Arkadelphia, the son of the late Carmie and Willie Rowe Cox.
Larry was a 1961 graduate of Okolona High School. He was the branch manager for farm Bureau in Nevada County for many years. Larry was a member of Third Street Baptist Church. He enjoyed watching sports and traveling around the country in his motor home. Larry and Kathy spent many summers camping on Lake DeGray. They enjoyed their monthly lunch date with the retired Farm Bureau agents of Southwest Arkansas.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Stephanie Cox, his wife, Kathy May Cox, three brothers, Lloyd Cox, Joe Cox and Paul Cox.
Survivors are one daughter, Meredith Owens (Fred) of Arkadelphia, one son, Wade Cox (Lisa Kyser) of Malibu, CA, four grandchildren, Gabe and Emma Owens of Arkadelphia, Anne Marie Cox of Orlando, FL and Davis Cox of Tallahassee, FL.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 13, 2026, at Welch Funeral Home with Bro. Charlie Williams officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
