2 Clark County manufacturers make Super 16 in Coolest Things Made in Arkansas contest

The Arkadelphia Alliance and Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that two Clark County manufacturers, Georgia-Pacific and the J.M. Smucker Co., have advanced to the Super 16 round of the fifth annual ‘Coolest Thing Made in Arkansas’. Presented by the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce/AIA and Arkansas Business, the contest celebrates The Natural State’s rich manufacturing history and highlights some of the amazing products manufactured in Arkansas.

Georgia-Pacific was recognized for its high-quality lumber and plywood products that are sustainably harvested and produced in Arkansas. These versatile wood products are used in construction projects across the country and are even featured in eco-friendly, cutting-edge mass timber buildings.

The J.M Sucker Co’s Hostess Brands entered the competition with their delicious Donettes manufactured in a state-of-the-art bakery in Clark County’s Industrial Park. Introduced in the 1940s, Donettes have long been known for their irresistible flavor, satisfying sweetness, and are the #1 selling donut in America. This is Hostess Brands’ third consecutive year in the competition.

These #ClarkCountyMade products will face off against 14 others in a single-elimination bracket to determine the Coolest Thing Made in Arkansas. We encourage everyone to show your support for our Clark County manufacturers by voting for both products at coolestthinginarkansas.com. You may vote up to once a day, per email address until Friday, July 10.

Each winner will advance to the next round until the Featured Four is reached. This year’s winner will be announced on Nov. 17 and the winning product will be highlighted on coolestthinginarkansas.com and at the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting in November.

The Arkadelphia Alliance and Area Chamber of Commerce congratulates Georgia-Pacific and the J.M. Smucker Co. on this well-deserved recognition and wishes them continued success as they compete for the title of Coolest Thing Made in Arkansas.
