Lonnie Ruth (Simpson) Gould, age 75, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at CHI St. Vincent Medical Center in Hot Springs. She was born November 27, 1950, in Vaden, the daughter of the late Willie and Letha Vaden Simpson, Sr.
Lonnie Ruth was retired from the Human Development Center. She was a member of the Church of the Living God.
Lonnie Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond Gould, two sisters, Ethel Gilliam and Ruby Govan, one brother, Willie Simpson, Jr.
Survivors are two sons, Raymond Oliver Gould III (Cheryl) of Cookeville, TN, and Christopher Wade Gould Sr. of Arkadelphia, one brother, Delton Simpson (Shanna) of Arkadelphia, three sisters, Charlene Adams of Arkadelphia, Willie Mae Woodson of Arkadelphia and Dorothy Boga of Arkadelphia, three grandchildren, Christopher, Jr., Oliver and Genesis “GG” Gould.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, June 5, 2026, at The Greater Tate Temple in Arkadelphia.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Welch Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Vaden Cemetery.
