Sarah Jennifer Durand is one of over 9,400 candidates to be recognized in the University of Georgia’s Class of 2026 spring Commencement ceremonies held this week.
Durand, of Arkadelphia, is a candidate for a MAT TESOL and World Language Educ.
“We are excited to recognize the achievements of our University of Georgia students in the Class of 2026,” said President Jere W. Morehead. “Commencement represents a chance to celebrate outstanding accomplishments and honor the families and friends who supported these students on their journeys. We look forward to seeing the many ways these graduates will continue to represent the University of Georgia as proud alumni.”
The undergraduate ceremony is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in Sanford Stadium on May 8. Graduate ceremonies will be held May 7 in Stegeman Coliseum. The master’s and specialist ceremony will begin at 10 a.m., and the doctoral ceremony will begin at 2:30 p.m.
DJ Shockley, highly awarded former UGA and Atlanta Falcons quarterback, will deliver the undergraduate address. Meg Amstutz, dean of the Jere W. Morehead Honors College, will deliver the address at the graduate ceremonies.
