Hubert Herman Parish, age 87, of Saginaw, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 16, 1938 to the late Arthur M. and Florence (Sandage) Parish.
He worked as a paint and body man at several local autobody shops throughout his life including Grissom’s, Padgett Chevrolet, Crutchfield’s, and Shepherd’s Automotive in Arkadelphia. He was a member of the Saginaw Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, yard work, and especially loved driving his grandkids around on the trailer.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Verna Estell (Nicks) Parish; and seven siblings.
Survivors include his sons, Donny Parish and wife Sara, David Parish and wife Gina, and Darren Parish and wife Sheri, all of Midway; grandchildren, Michelle Riggan (Blake), Melissa Ramsey (Jason), Cody Parish (Darcy), Cortney Bryant (Joe), and Brooke Castleberry (Johnny); great-grandchildren, Hannah ( fiancée -Lane), Jace, Blakelyn, Brielle, J.D., Weston, Emerlee, Kade, Kipton, and Hadley; sisters, Ola Faye Lane of Saginaw and Betty Jo Hughes of New DeRoche; as well as numerous nieces and nephews
Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to service at Saginaw Missionary Baptist Church. Graveside Services will be held Friday, April 3, at 11:30 AM with Bro. Alan Cansler officiating at Ouachita Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Joe Bryant, Cody Parish, Blake Riggan, Johnny Castleberry, Jason Ramsey, Jace Ramsey, and Lane Rushing.
Honorary Pallbearers are J.D., Weston, Kade, and Kipton.
