From the City of Arkadelphia
The City of Arkadelphia is excited to announce plans for its fifth annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration, presented by Southern Bancorp.
On Tuesday, May 5, 2026, city officials will host a four-hour event in the downtown Town Square lot, bringing an evening full of energy, flavor, and family fun to the heart of the city. The celebration will feature live music from Los MX, a variety of authentic taco trucks, and a Kids Zone — complete with a Ferris wheel, bounce houses, temporary tattoos, and a piñata zone. Guests can also enjoy dancing throughout the evening and a custom beverage bar by Big Betty’s Big Country Dance Hall.
“Cinco de Mayo serves as our kick-off to our annual events calendar,” said Special Events Manager Halle Mann. “It’s a fun, high-energy night that brings our community together with music, great food, and activities for all ages. We’re excited to celebrate on the holiday itself this year — and even more excited that it falls on Taco Tuesday!”
In 2024 and 2025, the city hosted pre-Cinco de Mayo celebrations due to scheduling conflicts.
The event will take place from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5. Admission to the City of Arkadelphia’s Cinco de Mayo Celebration is free. For more information, follow @arkadelphiaar on Facebook and Instagram.
