Dorothy Renee Ivory was born in Gary, Indiana on August 7, 1968, to Albert Ace and Willie Bell. She grew up in Gurdon where she attended school and graduated from Gurdon High School in 1986.
She was affectionately known as “Dusty” by her family and close friends. She made friends easily and was well known in the Gurdon Community. She was a New England Patriots fan who loved both blues and country music. She worked in hospitality with a heart that made everyone feel at home—her warmth wasn’t just part of her job, it was who she was.
Dusty passed peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2026, and was preceded in death by her parents Willie Bell Green Smith and Albert Ace Ivory along with two brothers, Kenneth Green and Stephen Green.
She leaves lasting memories with her loving children, Tywanna Ivory, Yvonda Ivory and Shaketa Williams, all of Gurdon, AR; her grandchildren, Camille Lawton, Carter Williams, Ayden Williams, Adrian Williams and Jaysee McKenzie; two sisters, Charleszetta Ivory (Lamont Glasgow), Cynthia (Nathan) Jones, James Miller (Barbara Smith) all of Gurdon, AR. She also leaves an aunt, Mary Alice Sewell of Milwaukee, WI; a special friend, Henry Charles Williams, several cousins and numerous friends.
Visitation will be Friday, March 20, 2026, from noon until 7:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church. Rev. Johnny C. Harris, officiant. The interment will be at Rose Hedge Cemetery.
