It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Jodie Mae Mitchell, 84 yrs. old, of Arkadelphia, Arkansas. A good friend and Co-Owner of Mitchell Funeral Home in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Mrs. Mitchell transitioned from this life to her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 21st, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. 

Celebration of Life services will be held Friday, January 30th, 2026, at Greater Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Arkadelphia, Arkansas at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Helm Cemetery in Arkadelphia, under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home and Mitchell Funeral Home. 

Visitation will be Thursday, {Jan. 29th}, from 1:00 – 6:00 p.m., at Mitchell Funeral Home in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. 

A final viewing will be held before services begin, so please govern yourselves accordingly.
