A motorcycle crash in Miller County left a young man dead Friday afternoon, Jan. 9, 2026.
Arkansas State Police responded to the 35 mile-marker of Interstate 49, where a 2004 Yamaha had collided with a cable barrier. Its operator, Samuel Gutierrez, 22, of Texarkana, lost control of the southbound motorcycle, according to a preliminary fatal crash summary.
Gutierrez died at the scene. His body was taken to the Miller County Coroner’s Office.
Cpl. Josh Broughton, who investigated the crash, noted dry roads and clear weather at the time of the collision, which was recorded as 4:31 p.m.
