Arkadelphia baseball youth go beyond the field, provide warmth at assisted living centers

The 3D Raptors, a 9U youth travel baseball team based in Arkadelphia, have been on a mission outside the diamond the past month to collect blankets.

The young men aimed to provide blankets for just one nursing home, but they instead knocked their project out of the park and collected enough donations to distribute blankets to two assisted living facilities.

The team, under the direction of coaches Kaleb Sallee, Bryan Jones and Allen McDill, doled out blankets and bags of candy to each resident at two Arkadelphia nursing home facilities on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 21, 2025.
