Sondra Blocker Abney, age 55, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 7, 1969, in Hope, the daughter of Doyle and Betty Allison Blocker.
Sondra was a 1988 graduate of Prescott High School. She was the proud mother of one son, William Colten “Snoopy” Abney. Her love for him was unconditional and unwavering. A true reflection of her kind and nurturing spirit. Sondra truly loved living life to the fullest, enjoying drawing and creating art, being outdoors, working in her flower beds and spending time with friends and family.
She was a proud member of Calvary Church in Prescott. Sondra worked many years in billing for McKinnon Forestry Services and Herman and Bobbie Brown (Sonic) where she made life-long friendships that can never be replaced.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Alvin Blocker and Gladys Pugh, Marvin and Elsie Allison, and her father, Doyle Blocker.
Sondra is survived by her son, William Colten “Snoopy” Abney (Melissa) of Arkadelphia, her mother, Betty “BeeJay” Blocker of Prescott, two brothers, Buddy Blocker (Robyn) of Little Rock and Rodney Blocker El Campo, TX, one sister, Sheryl Martin (Brett) of Hope, many nieces and nephews that held a special place in her heart.
Her passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Though she will be forever missed, her family takes comfort in knowing she is at peace with our Lord and Savior.
