Mary Delores “Dee” Dickey, age 78, of Sparkman, passed from this life on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at her home. She was born August 17, 1947, in Manning, the daughter of the late Johnny Granville and Lois Opal Lanius Rucker.
Dee was a 1965 graduate of Sparkman High School. She drove a bus for the Sparkman School District for many years. Dee was a faithful member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed flower gardening and sewing in her free time.
Dee was preceded in death by her parents, her step-mother, Annie Laura Rucker, her first husband, Bud Denton, one brother, Jerry Rucker, and one sister, Doris Ann Tucker.
Survivors are her husband, Benny Dickey of Sparkman, one daughter, BJ Stringfellow (Aaron) of Hampton, four sons, Lloyd Denton (Sonya) of Sparkman, Jason Denton of Louann, Tim Dickey (Hilda) of Arkadelphia and Tony Dickey (Kelly) of Arkadelphia, one sister, Lisa Wise (Jim) of Sparkman, three brothers, Johnny Rucker (Jackie) of Fordyce, Kenneth Herring (Charlotte) of Nashville, TN and Doug Herring (Donna) of Camden, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church of Sparkman at 11:00 AM Friday, October 31, 2025, with Bro. Damon Launius officiating.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time at the church on Friday.
Interment will be in Delamar Cemetery at Manning.

Pallbearers are Robbie Seale, Clint Walker, Greg Denton, Billy Fogle, Jesse Taylor and Jeremy Taylor.
