Nolan, a student at Cabe Elementary School, has been showing pigs for the past 3 years. She has entered and participated in 10 shows around the state in 2025, winning the title of Grand Champion nine of those times, Reserve Grand Champion once and Junior Showmanship Champion 7 times.

At the Clark County Fair, Nolan won Grand Champion market hog, and won Grand Champion breeding gilt at the Arkansas Youth Expo and Arkansas State Fair.

Matilda will go on to show in nationals, but due to a timing conflict her handler will not be able to attend so will pass Matilda on to a friend to show. The young handler is pushed and trained by her older sister, 13-year-old Bristol Nolan, who has also had a great year showing hogs.
