The community is invited to a book discussion and signing event with Carolyn Staley, Hot Springs native and author of “The Boy Next Door” on Monday, Oct. 13, 2025, at 5 p.m. at the Arkadelphia Arts Center, 625 Main St. in downtown Arkadelphia.
Staley’s memoir details her friendship with President Bill Clinton, as seen through the lens of one who was his next-door neighbor during high school and who has maintained a close and uninterrupted 60-year friendship since.
Since age 15, Staley has kept a near-constant correspondence with Clinton, serving roles in both his gubernatorial and presidential administrations, and shared personal interests, especially music.
The event is presented by the Clark County Arts & Humanities Council, the ISBN and Six Strong Women book clubs.
