John Russell Morgan, age 62, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born February 5, 1963, in Arkadelphia, the son of the late Henry and Juanita Alexander Morgan.
John was a 1981 graduate of Arkadelphia High School and a 1986 graduate of Henderson State University. He was an environmental specialist for the state of Arkansas. John enjoyed hiking, running, reading and most of all spending time with his grandson, Rowan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, David Kannard.
John is survived by his wife, Becky Morgan of Arkadelphia, two sons, Jacob Morgan (Hannah) of Fayetteville and Ethan Morgan of Texarkana, TX, one grandson, Rowan Morgan of Fayetteville, one half-sister, Shawn Carlton (Jimmy) of Meriam Woods Village, MO, one half-brother, Erin Grogan (Beth) of Chicago, IL, his biological parents, Gary Grogan of Hot Springs and Camiel Kannard of Hot Springs Village.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, October 17, 2025, at Welch Funeral Home.
