Building Permits: New home going up on Millcreek

The City of Arkadelphia issued 8 building permits with a total estimated construction value of $509,500 for the month of July 2025.

The year-to-date value of construction jobs in Arkadelphia now totals an estimated $4.24 million.

Records were obtained from the city’s Building Department under the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act and include valuations of work except where omitted from reports. 

Editor’s note: Since the previous report, the Building Department has changed to an electronic filing system. While the applicant’s name is still included in the permit report, the owner’s name may not be. We provide all information that is provided to us.

Here’s a rundown of permits issued in July 2025:

The month’s highest valued job was a new residential home at 1834 Millcreek. Seale’s Construction Co. Inc. was hired to for the $397,000 job.

Cole’s Secure Storage applied for some commercial work at 29 Stephenwood. The job cost $55,000.

Constantino Diaz applied for an addition/multi-family to a commercial property at 112 W.P. Malone Rd., home to Arkadelphia Plaza. Cost for the job is $15,000.

Palmer’s Roofing was hired for a pair of roofing jobs at 905 S. 21st St. ($14,000) and at 1707 Westgate Circle ($13,000).

Speedy Gonzalez was hired for a $6,000 roofing job at 1528 Hunter St.

Tony Vo Construction was hired for a $3,500 roofing job at 222 N. 23rd St.

An unlisted applicant with no address took on a $6,000 roofing job.

Matthew Lazenby filed for a structural moving permit at 1100 S. 26th St. There was no job cost listed.
