Organizers of a fundraiser have announced an upcoming event to benefit the Okolona community.
Cookout for a Cause will include a meal consisting of hamburger/hot dog, chips, a drink and dessert for $10. Set for Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, Cookout for a Cause will include live gospel music provided by The Center Band, along with other entertainment.
The event starts at 5 p.m. at the Okolona Community Center. Cornhole, pickle ball and horseshoe games will be set up for anyone who wants to partake.
The fundraiser supports the Okolona Love Council, with proceeds going to local projects to benefit the Okolona community.
