It’s hot outside. So hot, apparently, that one man reportedly decided to pump gas in Arkadelphia wearing nothing but his birthday suit, one woman told police in recent days.
According to an incident report filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department, officers were summoned to the Circle K gas station, 3005 Pine St., on the afternoon of Friday, July 18, 2025, for a complaint of indecent exposure. A female customer said she was refueling her vehicle when she witnessed a stark-naked man staring at her from across the pump she was using.
She at first didn’t think anything of the small red pickup truck parked at the same pump island until the driver exited, wearing nothing but a stare. She described the suspect as a heavy-set white male with brown hair. He didn’t make any bodily gestures toward her, nor did he say anything — he just stood completely nude and stared, she told police.
One officer spoke to the store manager and, together, reviewed surveillance footage from the reported time frame. The time-stamped footage showed the woman arriving at the gas pumps at 3:16 p.m., followed about 30 seconds later by a red extended cab Ford Ranger pulling up to the same pump island. The report notes that an awning column obstructed the camera’s view of the driver’s side of the vehicle. At 3:19 p.m. the caller, seen getting in and out of her vehicle, is seen leaving the gas pump. Another 30 seconds pass before the suspect vehicle leaves the parking lot, ultimately headed west on Pine Street.
The officer captured a still image of the vehicle, which the police department declined to provide for The Arkadelphian. Distinguishing features of the vehicle include black fender flares, a trailer hitch, and visible damage to both the front and rear driver’s side fenders.
The report notes that, at no point in the footage does the suspect vehicle’s door opened, nor is any individual seen entering or exiting the vehicle.
Store management was requested to obtain footage from that timeframe of both exterior cameras. The manager checked the pump for any credit card transactions during the timeframe, but didn’t find any.
Arkadelphia Police Chief Jason “Shorty” Jackson said investigators have identified a person of interest, and more information could be forthcoming later this week.
