The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Monday, June 23

Felony incident still under investigation: Aggravated assault, 2500 block of Country Club Road.

A resident of Arlington, Texas, phoned in a delayed report of a hit-and-run accident that occurred on June 21. The caller advised that he had stopped off at Arkadelphia from Interstate 30 at Exit 73 and was rear-ended by a blue SUV at the Pine Street intersection. The other driver, he said, backed up and sped away from the scene.

2 p.m.
A woman reported two unauthorized bank account withdrawals totaling $590, both transferred to Temu.

3:13 p.m.
An officer took a complaint from a female who said her food stamp account balance had been emptied out at two locations in Philadelphia, where someone racked up $414 in benefits at a grocer and supermarket. The complainant said she last used her card on June 15 at a Dollar General in Arkadelphia and lost it afterward.

Friday, June 27
9:47 a.m.
Officers responded to Lark Place for a domestic disturbance between two married females. No arrest was made.

Saturday, June 28
6:26 p.m.
Officers were requested at Chad’s Auto Repair, 1016 Clinton St., for a customer’s complaint that she wanted her vehicle back because repairs were taking too long. An officer stood by during the civil dispute while the two parties settled up and the customer reclaimed possession of her vehicle. She was advised of options should she want to pursue further claims through civil channels.
