The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Sunday, Jan. 8
12:30 a.m.
Officers arrested a shirtless and shoeless man at a Twin Rivers Drive location for public intoxication following his release from the hospital and an argument with his brother.

Police took an “information only” report involving a juvenile.

Police opened two investigations of residential burglary and sealed each report as a felony case.

Police opened an investigation into a breaking and entering and sealed the report as a felony case.

Saturday, Jan. 7

Police opened an investigation into theft of property and sealed the report as a felony case.

8:02 p.m.
Officers arrested a Sylvia Street man following a female’s report that he had struck her.

Saturday, Jan. 7
5:23 p.m.
Deputies investigated a residential burglary at a West Texas Street, Amity, residence. The suspects were identified and located, and agreed to return the stolen items to the homeowner. The incident was resolved without arrest.

Arrests in Clark County

Friday, Jan. 6
Javion Sims, 18, was arrested by Arkadelphia police for aggravated robbery, aggravated residential burglary and possession of a firearm by a certain person.

Saturday, Jan. 7
Kenny Campbell, 52, was arrested by Arkadelphia police for DWI.

Rudolph Garland, 61, was arrested by Arkadelphia police for third-degree assault.

Alex Smitley, 35, was arrested by Arkadelphia police and held for continued detention.

Sunday, Jan. 8
Keishawn Giles, 25, was arrested by Arkadelphia police for public intoxication.
