Summer Cereal Drive a success in 2025

The Clark County Retired Teachers Association, in conjunction with KTHV Channel 11, held the annual Summer Cereal Drive on Friday, June 6, 2025. Journalist Jurnee Taylor was in town as the spokesperson.

The breakfast items collected will be distributed by the local food pantries to feed families this summer. Those food pantries are the Ecumenical Food Pantry, Enrichment Center Food Pantry, Gurdon Food Pantry, and the Lighthouse Food Pantry. Since Arkansas is the #1 state in the country for food insecurity, this is a needed endeavor.  

A Special ‘Thank You’ goes to Brookshire’s District Manager Jason Audirsch and Brookshire’s. Recognition goes to this ‘inexhaustible’ list of individuals and businesses who went above and beyond to assist in supplying breakfast items for Clark County families and children:
