GriefShare session focuses on ‘Remembering Mom’

Arkadelphia’s First Baptist Church will offer a special one-day session of the grief support ministry, GriefShare, from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, May 3, 2025 on “Remembering Mom.”

The session, free and open to anyone who has experienced the loss of a mother, features a video on finding hope and healing after losing your mother. Guided discussion among participants follows the video.

Saturday’s session will be held inside the FBC Education Building, off the church’s south parking lot, in room 114. Participants are advised to enter off Eighth Street. Refreshments will be served.

First Baptist is now in its fourth year of offering GriefShare group sessions. A more in-depth 13-week program continues at 6 p.m. on Monday evenings through May 19. Participants are still welcome. GriefShare encourages participants to experience a “journey from mourning to joy.” It’s also based on the idea that grief lingers for months and even years after a loss of a loved one.
