Lloyd Conant

Lloyd Nelson Conant, age 85, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at CHI St. Vincent Medical Center in Hot Springs.  He was born September 30, 1939, in Arkadelphia, the son of the late Ernest and Annie Lee Conant.  

Lloyd was a 1957 graduate of Arkadelphia High School.  He worked in the banking industry for many years and then retired from Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration.  Lloyd was a charter member of Park Hill Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for many years.  He presently attended Mt Zion Baptist Church. Lloyd enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping in his free time.  He also enjoyed traveling with his spouse and grandchildren.  

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Velma Seale and Thelma Trout, one brother, Ross Conant, brother-in-law, James Seale and sister-in-law, Evelyn Conant.

Survivors are his wife of sixty-four years, Freida Hudman Conant of Arkadelphia, his children, Greg Conant (Kim) of Okolona, Kaye Lewallen (Mark) of Malvern and James (Jim) Conant (Kim) of Nashville, grandchildren, Brandy Russell (Chris), Michael Benson (Courtney), Brandi Caldwell (Cody), Kevin Conant, Jordan Conant, Isaac Conant, Kyler Conant and Summer Conant, Great-grandchildren, Gabby, Faith, Makenzie, Lainey, Addy, Peyton, Trey, Brantley, Cannon, Bennett and Drake, five great-great-grandchildren and his brother in law, Ollie Trout of Bismarck.

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Mt Zion Baptist Church with Bro. Johnny McAnally officiating. Interment was in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were Chris Russell, Michael Benson, Cody Caldwell, Kevin Conant, Jordan Conant, Isaac Conant, Kyler Conant, Trey Benson and Brantley Russell.
