Juanita Pauline Burnside, age 73, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Thursday January 16, 2025, at CHI St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Hot Springs. She was born on April 27, 1951, in Jonesboro, the daughter of late Wayne and Inez Warren Mitchell.
Juanita was a 1969 graduate of Brookland High School. She worked at the United States Post Office in Waldenburg for many years. Juanita attended Waldenburg Baptist Church and Cornerstone Baptist Church in Harrisburg. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, playing with grandkids and great-grandkids, collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia, Mickey Mouse and Red Truck decorations.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Roy Mitchell, one sister, Nina Warren and one granddaughter, BreeAnnah Berry.
Survivors are her husband, Jim Burnside of Arkadelphia, one son, Jimmy Burnside (Melia) of Arkadelphia, four daughters, Julie Burnside of Arkadelphia, Janie Drew (Robert) of Arkadelphia, Jessica Reid of West Memphis and Jillian Johnston (Tim) of Searcy, fourteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 PM Friday, January 24, 2025, at Welch Funeral Home with Roman Burnside officiating.
