A Malvern man was among two people arrested by Arkansas State Police after cyber tips led to search warrants that yielded Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
The agency said in a release Monday that Ryan Porterfield, of Malvern, was arrested Oct. 17, 2024, following execution of a residential search warrant at his home on Ridge Road. Porterfield, 31, was arrested following the search.
Special Agents transported Porterfield to the Hot Spring County Detention Center, where he was booked and charged with 11 counts of Distributing, Possession, or Viewing of Matter Depicting Sexually Explicit Conduct Involving a Child.
In an unrelated case that day, the agency’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested a second person, 30-year-old Damon Clapp, of Leachville, a town west of Blytheville near the Arkansas/Missouri border. A cyber tip alleged that Clapp sent and received multiple images of CSAM. Special Agents transported Clapp to the Mississippi County Detention Center, where he is in custody on charges of Distributing, Possession, or Viewing of Matter Depicting Sexually Explicit Conduct Involving a Child. Clapp is being held on a $100,000 bond.
