Martha Jean Burns Archer, age 86, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Tuesday October 1, 2024, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Arkadelphia. She was born on May 12, 1938, in Arkadelphia the daughter of the late Willard Eugene “Gene” and Martha Bell Pharris Burns.
Martha was a member of Third Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, crafts, playing piano, and crocheting in her free time.
Martha is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, C. A. Archer.
Survivors are one son, Charles Archer (Linda) of Arkadelphia, one daughter, Carol Holland (Mike) of Hot Springs, four grandchildren, Heather Schneider (Mark), Ashley Bean (Justin), Mason Archer, Braden Archer, and four great grandchildren, Whitley Bean, Stetson Bean, Aiden Schneider, and Everly Schneider.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday October 3, 2024, at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia with Luke Honeycutt officiating.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time on Thursday.
Interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Mike Holland, Justin Bean, Braden Archer, David Burris, Mark Schneider and Bubba Hostetler.
Honorary pallbearer is Mason Archer.
