Dispatch Desk: Sept. 23-29

The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Police investigated theft by deception somewhere on 23rd Street.

6:35 a.m.
A Lexington Circle man showed an officer a video of someone attempting to break into his vehicle earlier that morning.

Thursday, Sept. 26

Juvenile report: Rape

12:40 p.m.
Following officers’ response to a domestic disturbance at 2707 Lynwood Dr., Trenton Clark Coppedge, 28, was arrested for third-degree domestic battery.

2:23 p.m.
An 18th Street man reported his pickup, parked partly in the street, sustained damage to a fender, bumper and side mirror when a FedEx truck struck the vehicle while attempting a delivery. The two exchanged information before the driver went about his business.

6:33 p.m.
Officers responded to a report of two men fighting at the 100 block of North 25th Street. The brief scuffle apparently stemmed from disrespect shown toward one of the men’s mama. Neither party had signs of visible injury, and both were advised to stay at their respective properties.

8:02 p.m.
A verbal domestic disturbance between a young couple at Powder Mill Apartments, 2801 Twin Rivers Dr., was resolved when the parties agreed to separate.

Friday, Sept. 27
1:30 p.m.
An O’Connell Street woman reported finding damage to her vehicle’s fender, which she reckoned was hit the previous day while out running errands.

11:43 p.m.
Jeffery Eckler Jr., 31, was arrested for violating a no-contact order when officers responded to a residence at 202 S. Peake St. for a verbal disturbance involving Eckler and a female.

Saturday, Sept. 28

Police investigated a report of residential burglary at the 2800 block of Twin Rivers Drive. Additional details were not available in the report as it was a felony incident.

Juvenile report: Aggravated Assault

Sunday, Sept. 29

Police investigated a Breaking or Entering at the 300 block of High School Drive. No other details were included in the felony incident report.

Monday, Sept. 23
1:40 p.m.
The theft of three ATVs was reported at a Duncan Road, Gurdon, residence. The ATVs are a green 2005 Honda Rancher with a snorkel, a red 1999 Polaris 425 Expedition, and a generic 150cc youth model.

Wednesday, Sept. 25
10:18 p.m.
Deputies were dispatched to 5050 Arkansas Highway 8 for a domestic disturbance with weapons. The caller advised that two females attacked a man with bricks and 2x4s. Jimmie Marks, 44, Lashiya Ladasha Ellis, 20, and Mercedez Nashe Smith, 18, were arrested for various charges related to the incident.

Thursday, Sept. 26
10:15 p.m.
A deputy was summoned to South Fork Truck Stop in Gurdon when a concerned caller reported a semi-truck door had been open for an hour. The deputy noticed a backpack in the cab had every compartment open. Contact was made with the driver, who didn’t notice anything missing from the truck.
