Gracie Lou (Howell) Bunn, age 91, of Arkadelphia, entered the gates of Heaven into the arms of Jesus, on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Nightingale Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia. She was born April 7, 1933, in Arkadelphia, the daughter of the late Clarence and Esther Clift Howell.
Gracie was a 1951 graduate of Arkadelphia High School, where she was a member of FHA, Pep Club and FTA. She was also a cheerleader, homecoming queen and Who’s Who of Arkadelphia High School. Gracie was a charter member of Third Street Baptist Church of Arkadelphia. She was a friend to everyone she met and was loved by so many.
Gracie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, W.C. Bunn, one son, David Bunn, one brother, Louis (Bodie) Howell, three sisters, Mary Dixon, Joyce Burns and Vera Arnold.
Survivors are one son, Billy Bob Bunn (Debbie) of Arkadelphia, two sisters, Wanda McMahan of Friendship and Amanda Deaton of Butterfield, two grandchildren, Shanna Eason (Brent) of Poplar Bluff, MO and Nicholas Bunn (Segal) of Springtown, TX, three great-grandchildren, Harli Russell, Chase Bunn and Rayleigh Bunn.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Third Street Baptist Church with Bro. Greg Lathem officiating.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Tuesday at the church.
Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
