An injured victim in the Fordyce Mad Butcher mass shooting on June 21 filed a lawsuit in Dallas County against Travis Eugene “Joey” Posey, the alleged shooter.
Brittney Sullivent, the victim, and her husband, Jeromy Sullivent, want damages and a jury trial.
The lawsuit states “On June 21, 2024, at approximately 11:38 a.m., Defendant intentionally and purposely loaded and fired a firearm that was in his exclusive possession and control, and caused bullets discharged from the firearm to strike and injure Brittney Sullivent, proximately causing serious injury to Brittney Sullivent and damage to her vehicle.”
