The City of Arkadelphia issued 20 building permits with an estimated construction value of $1.1 million for the month of July 2024.
The year-to-date value of construction jobs in Arkadelphia now totals $8.72 million.
Records were obtained from the city’s Building Department under the Freedom of Information Act and include valuations of work except where omitted from reports. Here’s a rundown of permits issued in July 2024:
JMRW Properties LLC, registered to Richard Womack, is erecting five new single-family homes in Arkadelphia. The new dwellings are going up at 1999 Sylvia St., 2301 Sylvia St., 2303 Sylvia St., 703 Hensley St., and 705 Hensley St. The Sylvia Street residences are costing an estimated $207,000 apiece to build, and the Hensley Street homes are expected to cost $80,000 each.
A project at Walmart to accommodate for new exterior doors is slated to cost $120,000. The job was let out to Powerhouse Contracting.
