Dr. Patricia Wright spoke on behalf of the Peake High School Alumni Foundation during a recent Arkadelphia Board of Education meeting.
Wright read to the Board and those in attendance a concurrent resolution that was passed by the Arkansas General Assembly in April 2024.
The resolution recognizes Ralph Wilcox of the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program and the Division of Arkansas Heritage for their efforts to preserve the remaining structures and history of the Rosenwald Schools in Arkansas.
Peake High School in Arkadelphia is one of 11 Rosenwald Schools in Arkansas that are now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
