EAST CAMDEN, Arkansas — Southern Arkansas University Tech, along with other tenants in the Highland Industrial Park, went into “lockdown” status on Tuesday afternoon, July 9, 2024.
SAU Tech said in a post on its Facebook page that the lockdown was a precautionary measure.
“There is NOT an active shooter on the SAU Tech campus. The safety of our students and employees is our top priority. More information will be released when it becomes available,” the post said.
