Real Estate: 7 properties sell in Clark County

Clark County real estate transactions recorded May 17-30, 2024, having a value of $100,000 or greater. Information is gathered from public records held by the Clark County Circuit Clerk, online real estate records via actdatascout.com and the Arkansas Secretary of State. The Arkadelphian includes names of grantees, grantors, transaction price and property description available, and does not withhold names.

Highlighting this round of real estate transactions is the $303,333 sale of 82.43 acres of timberland north of US Highway 67 south of Gurdon. The Ross Foundation purchased the land from Barbara Rhodes. The transaction was done by way of executors deed.

Christopher and Adason Thornton sold their 1,520-SF brick home at the 1800 block of Center Street, Arkadelphia, for $188,000. New owner is Gerald Gentry. The Thorntons bought the property in 2021 for $150,000.

Logan and Elizabeth Rogers bought a 1,422-SF brick home at the 1400 block of Huddleston Street, Arkadelphia, for $185,700. Previous owners Jose and Nyurka Arroyo bought the property in 2021 for $152,000.

A 1,390-SF brick home at the 2700 block of Lynwood Drive, Arkadelphia, sold to Brittany Smith for $176,500. Previous owner Wade Stafford, d/b/a the Malvern-based Stafford Investment Properties LLC, bought the property in 2022 for $96,000.

For $175,000 Marcus Wright bought a 2,610-SF brick home at the 900 block of East Walnut Street, Gurdon. Previous owners, Douglas Rethwisch, et al, bought the property in 2021 for $156,000.

For $135,096 Frederick and Mary Thompson bought 31.84 acres of mixed pasture and timber located just north of state Highway 7 and west/adjacent to state Highway 128, near the Griffithtown community. Previous owners Jonathan and Brianna Lusby bought the property in 2022 for $102,000.

Wrapping up these property transactions is the $130,000 sale of a 1,456-SF brick home on Roy Road, in the DeGray community. Previous owner Terry Palmer sold the place to James Duke, et al. The sale includes 7.74 acres of mixed pasture and timber.

CORRECTION: In our previous Real Estate transaction we neglected to report some details regarding a $1.3 million timber sale from Caddo Land Corp. to Mitchell Stewart Griffin Developments LLC. The sale included a total of 506 acres, including tracts in Hot Spring and Nevada counties in addition to the Clark County transaction we reported. We regret the error.
