The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Monday, May 13
10:48 p.m.
An officer was summoned to the intersection of 10th and Pine streets, where an 18-wheeler struck a bollard on the southeast corner of Tiger Mart’s lot because the driver turned too sharply. The truck’s rear tires sustained damage.

Juvenile: Civil Jurisdiction
10:54 p.m.
Taylor Opal Renae Leon, 29, of Gurdon, was arrested at 10th and Caddo streets for possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing governmental operations. The driver, Joshua Ray Hall, 31, of Amity, was arrested for driving with a suspended license. Police followed Hall, whom the officer recognized as having a suspended driver’s license, after spotting him driving on Pine Street.
Wednesday, May 15
7:47 p.m.
A man walking his dog on North 13th Street suffered a dog bite on his wrist when a Husky escaped its backyard. The pedestrian was bit while breaking up the dog fight. The man refused medical treatment for his wrist but did take his dog to the vet. The Husky’s owner was advised to seek a more effective way to keep his dog contained.
Thursday, May 16
Police investigated a report of forgery at the 100 block of W.P. Malone Drive. No details were included in the report as felony cases are not available for public inspection at the Arkadelphia Police Department.
Friday, May 17
8:07 a.m.
A Carpenter Hill Apartments man report theft from his Net Spin account that holds his payroll. He said his latest deposited paycheck totaled more than $400, but when he checked the account it had $15.
9:40 a.m.
An officer responded to Nightingale Nursing Home, 2701 Twin Rivers Dr., for a report of a physical altercation that took place between a male and female resident.
Saturday, May 18
4:23 p.m.
A caller advised police of an accident at 1108 Haddock St. in which the driver left the scene on foot. A brief investigation of the wreck led an officer to determine the vehicle was westbound when it struck a concrete retaining wall, causing significant damage to both it and the vehicle, a silver 2000 Toyota 4Runner registered to a female from Arkadelphia. A witness said the driver was a mixed male. The vehicle was deemed inoperable and was towed from the scene.
9:33 p.m.
Cortney Deshaun Reed, 37, of Arkadelphia, was arrested at 909 S. 25th Street Circle for DWI following a report of an intoxicated male breaking windows on a vehicle. Upon arrival police indeed found a car with smashed windows, and behind it was another vehicle occupied by Reed.

3:45 p.m.
A deputy recovered a camping trailer reported stolen three years ago from a storage lot in Montgomery County. The Lower Lake Road, Caddo Valley, woman in custody of the camper had purchased it on Facebook Marketplace, not knowing it was stolen. The owners, from Huntington, retrieved it on May 14. No criminal charges are being pursued.

Chad Taurean Dixon, 38, of Arkadelphia, was arrested at 68 Kimberly Drive for second-degree domestic battery following a female’s report of physical abuse and threats with a firearm.
