Extension Homemakers Council recognized
The Clark County Extension Homemakers Council was presented with a proclamation this week from county Judge Troy Tucker. The EHC includes a total of 54 members in three local clubs. The EHC logged 4,196 volunteer hours in 2023, and tackles a special project each year. In 2024 EHC members across Arkansas are participating in the Cares Project, which aims to provide mental well-being awareness and education to AEHC members and their communities. The Cares Project asks that open conversations about mental well-being be had so that the stigma surrounding mental health can be further dissolved, bringing more acceptance and understanding to ourselves and others experiencing mental health struggles. | Joe May photo/The Southern Standard
