Enjoy sunny skies on the first day of May — and while the supply lasts. The National Weather Service in Little Rock is forecasting thunderstorms and rain from Thursday afternoon through the weekend in the Arkadelphia area.
Wednesday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with a high near 87. Expect clouds Wednesday night.
The action is likely to begin Thursday afternoon with an 80% chance of showers and thunderstorms; new rainfall amounts from 1/4 – 1/2 inch are possible. Precipitation is likely to continue into Friday, with a 70% chance of rainfall that morning and dropping to 20% by Friday night.
Another round of storms is possible Saturday afternoon, with a predicted 50% chance after 1 p.m. Saturday could also see partly sunny skies and a temperature in the low 80s.
There is a 30-40% chance of more showers and thunderstorms Sunday and Monday.
