Memorial Day should be sunny and warm with a high temperature of 86. Until then, however, the Arkadelphia area may see a few thunderstorms.
The National Weather Service in Little Rock is predicting spotty weather Thursday through Sunday, May 23-26, 2024.
With a potential for partly sunny skies Thursday afternoon, showers and thunderstorms are likely to develop after 5 p.m. through past midnight, with up to 1/2-inch of rainfall expected.
Friday’s weather is apt to mirror Thursday’s, with chances of showers and thunderstorms in the pre-dawn hours and a slight chance of more storms in the afternoon.
While the nasty weather should subside ahead of the three-day weekend, there remains a slight 20% chance of rain and storms Saturday and Sunday night. Mostly sunny skies are expected for both days, with highs approaching 90.
