A National Day of Prayer event is scheduled Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Third Street Baptist Church.

The program starts at noon with a pair of songs from Clark County Christian Academy. Bro. Greg Lathem will deliver the welcome and introduction.

The Arkadelphia High School JROTC will post the colors, followed by a singing of the National Anthem by Jon Shelby.

The CCCA will lead pledges to the American and Christian flags, as well as the Bible.

Clark County Judge Troy Tucker and Arkadelphia City Manager Gary Brinkley will read proclamations.

Paul Price will lead a prayer for national leaders, and Joe Burt will lead a prayer for the military.

The CCCA will sing another song before more prayer is offered: prayer for local leaders by Martin Jones; prayer for families by Jimmy Darby; and prayer for youth/students by Dequan Talley.

Stan Rogers will offer closing remarks and benediction.

Everyone is invited to attend.
