David Hulsey

David Newton Hulsey, age 74, of Hot Springs, formerly of Okolona, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at his home.  He was born July 20, 1949, in Holtville, CA, the son of the late Melvin Charles and Ruth Ester Faughn Hulsey, Sr.  

David was a 1968 graduate of Holtville High School and a 1976 graduate of Imperial Valley College.  He was a United States Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.  David was a security guard at the Red River Army Depot in Texarkana.  He was of the Pentecostal faith.  David enjoyed wood crafting and ceramics in his free time.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Pamela Sue Hulsey, one brother, Melvin Hulsey, Jr. and one sister, Peggy Lou Hulsey.

David is survived by three daughters, Dana Sue McKa (James) of Hot Springs, Mary Ruth Hulsey of Oil City, LA  and Diana Lynn Hulsey of Hot Springs, one brother, Larry Wayne Hulsey both of Holtville, CA, one sister, Patsy Davis (Harry) of Harriman, TN, and seven grandchildren.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Smyrna Cemetery with Bro. Richard Price officiating.

No visitation is planned.

Pallbearers are James McKa, William Strickland, Paul Sims, Skylar Wilkerson, Kent Malcom and Joseph Myers. 

Memorials may be made to Smyrna Cemetery Fund.
