A 16-lane bowling alley may take the place of the former Fountain Plaza shopping center on East Main Street in Magnolia.
The Magnolia City Council agreed on Monday not to sell Fountain Plaza, which it owns, until an unidentified Hot Springs couple has an opportunity to submit a proposal for the site.
Ellie Baker, the city’s Economic Development director, said the development is a bad news/good news situation.
