Charles Thomas Anderson, 87, passed peacefully in his sleep at his home on November 22, 2023. He was the youngest of seven children to Christian and Letha (Cupples) Anderson born November 14, 1936 in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana.
Prior to retirement, Charles served in the United States Air Force as well as working for Pennzoil (Duval) Sulphur and the Army Corps of Engineers. After retirement, Charles was an avid gardener until his health no longer allowed for such. Also, he was an active member of Bismarck United Methodist Church for over 16 years where he participated in the Methodist Men’s group. In late summer of 2023, he moved from Caddo Valley, Arkansas to Winston-Salem, North Carolina to be closer to family.
He leaves his wife of nearly 19 years, Carol Ewing Anderson, as well as numerous family members and loved ones.
Charles’ ashes were interred Friday, February 2, 2024 at the Salisbury National Veterans Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, North Carolina. A memorial service was held Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Holiday Forsyth Court, 2945 Reynolda Rd, Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
