
A slow moving storm system will move across Arkansas over the weekend, the National Weather Service in Little Rock said.
Widespread rainfall amounts of 1-3 inches will be possible across a large portion of the state between Friday night and Monday morning.
After a mostly cloudy Friday with a high approaching 70˚F there will be a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight, with a low around 51˚F.
Showers and possibly a thunderstorm will likely continue into Saturday, with a 90% chance of precipitation and highs approaching 60˚F. More rainfall is expected before and after midnight Saturday.
Precipitation is forecast to wane as the weekend comes to a close. Sunday will see a 50% chance of rain, with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 57˚F. That evening there is a 30% chance of rainfall as the low dips to around 44˚F.
Sunny skies will return Monday, with highs in the upper 50s and lows in the mid 30s.
