The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Arkadelphia Police Department

Wednesday, Jan. 3
9:32 a.m.
Police responded to College Inn, 1015 Pine St., for a complaint of a known male suspect who took a woman’s vehicle without her permission. Officers checked known hangouts without success. The whereabouts of the vehicle and suspect were not known at the time of the report.

2:50 p.m.
An officer took a report of a hit-and-run parking lot accident that occurred at Walmart.

5:55 p.m.
A South 10th Street woman reported the theft of a house key she had hidden beneath her doormat.

6:40 p.m.
The theft of keys, including a master key, was reported at Cutler Terrace Apartments, 1400 Cutler St.

Thursday, Jan. 4
An officer took an “information only” report involving a juvenile.

Police investigated a report of terroristic threatening at Stuckey’s, 3111 W. Pine St.

11:50 a.m.
Officers responded to a welfare concern involving a juvenile at Pine Court Apartments, 120 N. 20th St.

Friday, Jan. 5
10:24 a.m.
Officers responded to a complaint of vandalism at the 1500 block of Center Street, where the residents and officers determined an unknown suspect had thrown a lawn chair through a window of the residence.

Saturday, Jan. 6
9:20 a.m.
Officers conducted a welfare check on animals at a North Ridge residence. The animals were located inside and determined to be in good health. The residence, however, was noted to be in disarray and to have multiple leaks in the ceiling.

Police investigated a vehicular breaking or entering at Kristen Lynn Drive.

Sunday, Jan. 7
5:41 p.m.
Officers responded to a complaint of a verbal altercation taking place at the 400 block of North 16th Street. Officers investigated signs of physical abuse on a female, then tried unsuccessfully to locate the responsible party.

11:21 p.m.
Officers investigated a “suspicious fire” at Southview Apartments, 650 S. 5th St., where a tenant phoned 911 to report his apartment was on fire. Neighboring residents were evacuated while firemen extinguished the blaze. Firemen noted two separate fires on opposite ends of the apartment. The tenant who phoned police fled the scene but later arrived at the police department to say the fire was caused by a cigarette he’d lit and dropped on a couch.

Wednesday, Jan. 3
8:29 p.m.
A deputy took a report of threats made at a Highway 182, Okolona, residence.

Thursday, Jan. 4
6:17 p.m.
A deputy responded to a Center Ridge Road, Amity, residence for a verbal dispute between relatives. One resident reported threats were made during the dispute.

Saturday, Jan. 6
9:40 p.m.
Jeffrey Lynn Lockwood, 30, of Okolona, was arrested for DWI at 3514 Highway 26 following a deputy’s response to a vehicle accident.
