Esta Jean Apollos, age 94, of Okolona, passed from this life on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at Hospice Home Comfort Care Center in Little Rock. She was born April 10, 1929, in Weston, TX, the daughter of the late Timothy C. and Molly Iva Foster Mitchell.
Jean was a 1946 graduate of Anna High School in Anna, TX. She was the Postmaster at Antoine and Delight from 1954 to 1990 before retiring. Jean was a member of Delight Methodist Church. She enjoyed various church activities, gardening, Bible study and cooking. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl Raymond Apollos, one infant daughter, Linda Sue Apollos, daughter in law, Cindy Apollos and son in law, Paul Frazier.
Survivors are one son, Don Apollos of Antoine, two daughters, Carlita Frazier of Antoine and Suzanne Jones (Britt) of Little Rock, four grandchildren, Kimberly Apollos of Antoine, Dylan and Jack Jones both of Little Rock and Jeff Frazier of Pyuallup, WA.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Delight Methodist Church with Bro. Jim Henderson officiating.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Welch Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Antoine Cemetery.
Pallbearers are John Williams, Henry Lynn, Billy House, Lonnie Van Camp, Jody Acery and Scott Bailey.
The family would like to thank Brookdale Senior Living Center and Hospice Home Care Center of Little Rock for their loving care of Esta Jean in her final days.
